Following a similar requirement from the Hull Maritime Museum, heritage surveys were carried out on their two vessels, a deep water side trawler, the Artic Corsair, and the surviving Humber Conservancy Board light vessel the Spurn. This work will culminate in a conservation options report with the various options costed out.

Contracted by the Grimsby Fishing Heritage Centre to work with them towards a revamp of their vessel collection, the initial work has included a survey and a risk assessment and options study of the Ross Tiger, one of the few surviving diesel side trawlers.  The Ross Tiger was built by Cochrane’s of Selby and is one of only four known survivors from this yard’s output

HMS Caroline: last surviving WWI warship gets £845,600 boost

A project to transform the last surviving WWI warship into a floating museum in Belfast has been boosted by a £845,600 grant.The Heritage Lottery Fund has confirmed its initial support for the transformation of HMS Caroline.The money will enable the National Museum of the Royal Navy to draw up more detailed plans to bid for a full grant of £12.2m
